This week, Year 3 pupils have taken part in a range of engaging learning experiences across the curriculum.
In Design and Technology, children developed their understanding of food preparation and hygiene while safely preparing and tasting different foods, considering healthy choices and evaluating flavours.
In Religious Education, pupils explored the story of The Good Samaritan, reflecting thoughtfully on its message of kindness and how they can show care and compassion towards others in their own lives.
In English, the focus was on using direct speech, linked to the class text The Tunnel. Pupils practised punctuating speech accurately and began to use dialogue more confidently to develop character and bring their writing to life.
In Science, children learnt about how living things obtain food, comparing humans as consumers with plants as producers, and deepening their understanding of simple food chains.
In Mathematics, pupils have been developing their problem-solving skills using time, interpreting clocks and solving a range of multi-step challenges.
It has been a busy week, with pupils showing increasing confidence and enthusiasm across their learning.
