This week, we began by recalling what ‘exports’ mean and what the biggest exports in the UK are. We then learnt what an import is and why we need to import even though it can impact the environment when items are transported long distances. We looked at packaging from UK supermarkets, found where it came from and decided the likely environmental impact by colour coding.
