Care Assistant

The Governors of Bramcote Hills Primary School wish to appoint two suitable people to the position of Primary School Care Assistant. This post is temporary for one year from September 1st 2026 to August 31st 2027. This will then be reviewed at the end of this period. The post is for 32.5 hours per week.

NJC – Grade 2 – Point 4 – £18,944 p.a. Term Time Only

Part Time – weekly hours 32.5. (6.5 hours a day excluding lunch break)

The school has a number of pupils with specific needs, and we are committed to making their school experience positive, ensuring they are well supported.

The successful person will be working as part of our committed staff team.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Work as part of a team to assist pupils specifically in relation to practical support and identified physical needs
  • Offer personal hygiene support (including toileting)
  • Provide practical and personal assistance to pupils with identified physical and emotional needs
  • Provide general support in the classroom both indoors and outdoors
  • Provide lunchtime support and assistance to pupils
  • Use their initiative to solve problems
  • Follow school policies closely
  • Display a practical knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Experience with working with children with autism and/or diabetes would be an advantage but not essential
