What a fantastic final week of half-term it has been in Year 2.
The highlight of the week was undoubtedly our creation of well-known UK landmarks from recycled materials. We created impressive models of the Severn Bridge, the Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben), Edinburgh Castle and the Titanic Museum.
In Maths, 2M and 2H continued to focus on addition, subtraction and place value. We ended the week by finding 10 more and 10 less than a given number using dienes and other maths resources.
In English, we concluded our work focusing on ‘George and the Dragon’ by publishing our ‘Missing Dragon’ descriptions alongside some very detailed dragon drawings.
What a great way to end the first half-term of the year!
