Year 2

We’ve had another busy week in Year 2!

In PE, we are starting to practise for our School Games Day. We looked at developing an efficient running technique and not slowing down as we approach the finish line!

In maths, we have continued our work on fractions. We cut up shapes to see if they made equal parts. We also learnt how to represent the fractions a half and a quarter. Some of us also tried finding fractions of different shapes to see if we could spot any patterns.

Our art work is based on creating maps. Today, we used the maps we created last week but added some different materials to make parts of them 3D. This is called a ‘relief map’.

Finally, across the week we have written, edited and published our polar bear and Arctic descriptions, using lots of adjectives and descriptive language that we have gathered in our previous work. If you have time, please come and look at our work on the classroom windows.
