This week, we have continued our research about meerkats. When we had lots of facts, we put these into sentences – using our Rainbow Grammar skills to improve each one. We will use these when we write our fact files next week.
In geography we learnt about the famous Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya. ‘Mara’ means spotted because the animals and trees look like dots from up in the air.
In music, we practised representing safari animals with body sounds and rhythms. We then went on a ‘jeep safari’ – making the sounds for each animal we met.
Finally, we’ve been practising for School Games Day next week – but the rain has made this quite tricky! We are hoping for good weather on Monday and that lots of parents and carers will come and support us.
