This week in Year 1, we’ve been busy getting ready for our Little Red showcase!
The children are very excited to share their wonderful stories and handmade puppets with their families when you visit next week.
We have been working hard on retelling the story using our story maps, focusing on developing oracy and building well-constructed sentences. Over several sessions, the children have planned and written their own versions of the story.
In DT, we have begun creating our puppets. The children have been carefully cutting out their chosen character, using a template to make Little Red’s coat from felt and adding embellishments to make our designs attractive. They are very proud of their creations and can’t wait for you to see them!
