In Year 1, we have been learning how to group animals based on what they eat. We explored three different groups: carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.
Using books and videos, we found out more about each group and discovered the types of food different animals eat. We then used picture clues to help us sort a variety of animals into the correct groups, thinking carefully about their diets.
To showcase our learning, we created our own Venn diagrams, where we recorded examples of animals in each category. We are very proud of how confidently we can now group animals and explain our reasoning!
