This week in Foundation, we have been developing our early Maths skills through matching and sorting. We have been matching objects and pictures into sets and exploring how we can sort objects according to their colour, shape and size.
We have enjoyed sorting a mixture of natural materials, compare bears and buttons, carefully looking at what is the same and what is different. We even made an exciting discovery when sorting our buttons – some had two holes in the centre, while others had four!
It has been wonderful to see the children talking about their ideas and explaining how they have sorted their objects.
