This week, Year 5 have been busy with a wide range of exciting learning activities.
In P.E., the children took part in orienteering, using their map-reading skills to navigate different routes.
They have also been practising their lines and songs for the upcoming carol concert.
In Art, the class experimented with a variety of materials before they then created their own collagraph plates. The outcome of the art unit is the children will create their own space inspired piece of artwork.
In Maths, the children worked hard on developing their understanding of fractions. For example, understanding how to find equivalent fractions and ordering them.
In English, we started a new topic based on the book Who Let the Gods Out? The children are really enjoying this book so far. In lessons, they explored new vocabulary and used it to create expanded noun phrases describing the transformation of Prisoner 42 into Thanatos.
