What a wonderful final week we have had in Year 5! It has been a pleasure to have taught them this year and to watch the incredible progress the children have made, both academically and personally.
At the beginning of the week, the children enjoyed spending time in their new Year 6 classroom, where they had the opportunity to meet their new teacher and become familiar with their new learning environment.
This week, the children also took part in a creative writing activity based on an image titled The Miniature Castle. They were given the freedom to choose their own genre, resulting in a wonderful range of writing. Some children created narratives and diary entries, while others expressed their ideas through imaginative poetry.
In Art, the children have been busy completing work from this term, including their eco houses. They also used pastels to finish their pieces inspired by the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
