In our hook lesson we had 5 objects on our table which gave us clues about the story for out new writing unit. We then had riddles to match with the objects. Finally, we uncovered the themes of the book before reading the book ‘The Tin Forest’
Science
In science, we picked a flower apart to understand all the roles each part has and why they are all important.
Music
We listened to a piece of traditional Chinese music and understood how it is based on the pentatonic scale. The pentatonic scale is made up of 5 notes and lots of traditional music is comprised of these notes. We then played some pentatonic melodies on the glockenspiel.
