World Book Day 2026
We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day in Year 1! We loved seeing all the amazing costumes. There were so many wonderful characters. Which ones can you spot?
One of our personal highlights was welcoming lots of parents into school in the morning to read with the children. The classrooms were buzzing with stories and excitement!
Later in the day, the children thought about characters they might choose for their own stories. Working with a partner, they created story maps to plan their ideas before acting them out using our puppet theatres.
We can’t wait to use the puppet theatres again next week during Explore and Learn time!
