This week, to continue our science learning about autumn, the children learnt about observational drawing and how to draw what they see. They had a selection of autumn objects to look at in the middle of their tables and started by sketching the outlines of the pumpkins, conkers and leaves. They then used chalks and pastels to add colour and shading to their drawings. The children were so proud of what they had drawn and rightly so – they were fantastic!
We continued our learning about types of houses that the children might find in the local area of Bramcote. 1J applied this learning on their walk around Bramcote. 1U are still hoping to do this in the next half term. The children learnt about detached, semi-detached and terraced houses as well as bungalows and flats.
