Learning Powers

Our School Values

At Bramcote Hill Primary School, everything we do is guided by our motto: “Make the Future Better for All.”
We believe every child has the power to make a positive difference — in their learning, in our school, and in the wider world.

Our School Rules

Our five simple school rules help everyone stay safe, kind and ready to learn:

  1. Follow instructions first time.

  2. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.

  3. Speak kindly and politely to yourself and others.

  4. Always show good manners.

  5. Walk quietly in school.

Our Key Phrases

We promote kindness and inclusion through simple reminders:

  • It is only a joke if everyone’s laughing.

  • It is only a game if everyone’s playing.

These phrases help children think about others and make sure everyone feels valued and respected.

Our Learning Mantras

We encourage a positive mindset and perseverance with our learning mantras:

  • I can’t do it… yet!

  • Practice makes permanent.

  • What do we do when we make a mistake? We learn from it.

These mantras help children understand that learning takes effort, and mistakes are an important part of growth.

Together, these values, mantras and rules create a caring, purposeful community where every child can thrive.

Our Learning Powers

Our Learning Powers help children develop key skills for lifelong learning:

  • Resilient Rhino – keeps going, even when things get tough.

  • Resourceful Squirrel – finds different ways to solve problems.

  • Reflective Owl – thinks carefully about learning and next steps.

  • Reciprocal Ants – work together and support each other.
