Year 2 - SPARK in Action

Below are a small selection of images from the many SPARK events taking place this year in year 2, including their work on HMS Titanic and their sewing of decorations. As well as other events such as MHST working on resilience and bouncing back, STEM week and Anti-bullying week. 

Year 1

Below is a small selection of images from the many SPARK events taking place this year in year 1, including their work in:

• English - Making a marmalade sandwich for Paddington using the children's instructions.

• History - Practising cursive letter formation on a chalkboard like children would have done in schools in the past.

• PSHCE - A visit from a nutritionist which then inspired the children to create healthy meal choices during explore and learn time.

• PSHCE - Learning how to cross the road safely in preparation for their visit to St. Michael’s Church

• Geography - During our Winter Week we went outside to check the temperature each day and added this to our weekly weather chart. I think our lowest temperature was 3 degrees!

• R.E/Diversity - Holi Day. We worked collaboratively on a group piece of artwork themed around the Elephants of Jaipur and then placed them outside as if on an 'Elephant Parade' for the celebrations.

• Science - Looking for wild plants, garden plants, deciduous trees and evergreen trees located in our school area.

• Pupils from Year 6 also came and shared some of their Just So stories.
