Going the Extra Mile
HT's Blog 16th January 2022
The start of term has been busy as always but without the manic pace of December. A lot of my time has already been spent preparing for our new breakfast club which is really exciting. It crosses a line into setting up a business which, when you are trained in Education, is a fresh challenge. Our new School Business Manager, Mr Bramall, is worth his weight in gold with this venture and is devoting so much extra time to the project.
Over the course of the last week, I have seen so many staff ‘go the extra mile’ for school. There are teachers who regularly leave work at 6, even though they are only required to be there until 3:15. Yr 6 staff ran a successful ‘light night’ for their children which concluded at 6.30, lots of staff spend time following up concerns with children and communicating with parents, Mr Bramall is solving problems in so many areas and we have to persuade him to go home before the school is locked …. the list goes on and I’m so grateful for their dedication.
