A busy start to term
The return to school has proved to be extremely busy. So many plans have to be put into place and dates need to be set.
The program of staff meetings, school improvement work, self-evaluation activities and governors’ meetings all take a lot of time to prepare so there is little opportunity to ease one’s way into the term at a gentle place.
In addition, we will be advertising for some new governors in the near future and I also intend to consult parents on a slightly revised anti-bullying policy. Whilst it’s not always possible to accommodate everyone’s views when rewriting a policy, it is always worth gaining as much input as possible. My senior leadership team know that I am always happy to consider viewpoints when determining policies so we can come up with the best possible ideas for taking the school forward. I have never been threatened by people having different views – indeed I love the debate.
