Welcome to December 19
A very busy time of year
Welcome to December 2019
On Friday, we carried out our official ‘Thank You’ for Mr Knightsbridge in the whole school assembly. It was lovely to see so many of his family attending the event to mark his long standing support of the school. We look forward to his on-going involvement with BHPS even though he is no longer Chair of Governors.
I must confess, I enter December with almost a childlike level of excitement. Even though it is an extremely busy time and it can be highly pressured for staff to ensure that so many events run smoothly, I still love being part of the many nativities and concerts that we organise. It is a lovely time to be part of the community and to see children and parents enjoying those special moments together.
We also endeavour to keep ‘normal’ teaching going right to the end of term. Naturally, there are performances, dinners and parties but we also like to keep our focus going until 20th December. The children will have two weeks off at the end of the month and we don’t want them to regress by having, in effect, more than this time away from their studies.
